Switzerland

Top in Innovations and Talents

From year to year, Switzerland occupies top positions in international country rankings.

Global Innovation Index 2025: Switzerland has been leading the list since 2011, becoming the most innovative economy for the fifteenth year in a row, overtaking Sweden, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Singapore.

2023 World Talent Ranking: for the twelfth year in a row, Switzerland tops the list of 64 economies located in eight regions.

Truly International

For the past century, Geneva has played the role of a leading European center of diplomacy. “The world's largest center of multilateral diplomacy,” “the capital of peacekeeping,” and “the leading center of global governance” are often used to describe the numerous international organizations located in Geneva. Currently, the United Nations European Office is located in Geneva, as well as 36 international organizations, such as the World Trade Organization, about 700 non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and 179 diplomatic missions.

Totally Safe

In Switzerland, there are far fewer police officers per 100,000 population than the average for neighboring countries. Nevertheless, Switzerland is one of the safest countries in the world.
